Course Objectives 1. to provide students practical techniques and decision support tools those help them to solve decision problems,
2. to enable students to integrate judgments with other types of information in a logical and defensible manner,
3. to improve students’ decision making skills, their ability to analyze problems systematically, and their confidence in their own decision making.
Course Description This course will help students to improve the quality of the decisions they will make. It provides a basic treatment of decision support. In order to support decision making process; techniques and tools will be taught to specify a management problem or opportunity, to structure the decision problem, to construct the model, and especially to analyze (solve) the problem.
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will be able to:
1. will be able to identify common errors and traps that prevent them from making effective decisions,
2. learn how decision support systems relate to decision support,
3. use a range of decision making techniques to improve the effectiveness of their decision making,
4. find (choose, rank, or classify) the best alternative for making a decision
