Course Description Definition of eutrophication, adverse effects of eutrophication, factors effecting eutrophication, effect of stratification on eutrophication, sources of nutrients, nutrient cycles, phytoplankton kinetics, assessment of trophic status for freshwater and marine ecosystems, eutrophication monitoring, eutrophication modeling, eutrophication control strategies, eutrophication related policies, case studies
Course Outcomes M.Sc. students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skill and competency in the following subjects;

I. Identification of eutrophication problem, defining its adverse effects, and factors effecting eutrophication
II. Comprehension of biogeochemical cycles and phytoplankton kinetics
