PST 532E - Mechanical Properties of Polymers
Course Objectives
1.Structure-temperature relations for usage of polymers as a material.
2. Time-dependent mechanical behavior of polymers and their models.
3.Stress-strain relations of different polymers, measuring methods of mechanical behavior, and the relation between structure and temperature-based mechanical behavior.
4.The type of basic additives used in polymeric materials, their field of usage, and their effects on mechanical behavior.
5. The differences between the traditional polyblends, composites and nanocomposites, their preparation methods and properties.
Course Description
The time-dependent behavior of polymers, stress-strain relations and composite made with polymers will be discussed in the course.
