Course Objectives

1. To teach the basic methods and principles of organic surface coating
To gain a comprehensive overview on industrial production methods and various
physical and chemical properties of organic coating materials.
To teach the current and high level knowledge on organic coating and technology

Course Description

Introduction, film formation, organic binders, alkyd resin, natural resins, plastisizers, cellulose

resin, vinyl polymers, acrylic polymers, silicones, polyurethanes, epoxy resin, organic and
inorganic pigments, paint manufacturing, surface preparation and application of paint, anti-
corrosive paints, specially organic surface coating materials.
