ZMG 601 - Theoritical Soil Mechanics and Soil Models

Course Objectives

-To give theoretical information which is the basis of numerical solutions in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.

-To give information about important soil models.

Course Description

-In this course, various soil models are explained.
-Stress-strain concepts in soils are explained and fracture hypotheses, hyperbolic and empirical models are included.
-Elasto-plastic models (Glass clay model, Head model, Lade model and Endocronic model) are also explained.
