Course Objectives
1. To train students on high-level fluid mechanics
2. To train students on how to define and solve complex fluid mechanics problems
3. To train students on how to solve chemical engineering problems by using their knowledge of fluid mechanics
Course Description
This course covers flow in Chemical Engineering equipment, solution of viscous-flow problems, boundary-layer flow, two-phase flow, non-Newtonian fluid behavior, rheometry for non-Newtonian fluids, flow in pipes and in conduits of non-circular cross-section for non-Newtonian fluids and viscoelastic fluids. Topics include solution methods of Chemical Engineering fluid flow problems.
