Course Objectives
1 To expand knowledge on analysis of natural, built and socio-economic environment
2 To aTo find mature solutions regarding the acquired synthesis and drafts due to the spatial analysis made in settlements expand knowledge on analysis of natural, built and socio-economic environment
3 To expand the knowledge of students in decision making, application and legal period
Course Description
Parallel to the development strategies, the content of the studio is to prepare the spatial analysis of the settlement with alternatives, to create harmony within functions, effective use of land, accessibility, conservation of natural and historical values, to design place harmonious with the natural structure, , to obtain urban identity, to determine new spatial organisation in relation to socio-economic development and change through the planning policies such as hierarchy of settlements, transportation and recreation areas and form planning tools directing application.
Course Outcomes
1 Understanding the inter-disciplinary interaction related to urban plannnig in a specific theme
2 Developing and intensifying in urban planning, based upon the competency in the undergraduate level
3 Systematically transferring the current developments in the field of urban planning and one’s own work to other groups in and out the area; in written, oral and visual forms
4 Solving the problems faced in the area by making use of the research methods
