Course Objectives

1. To give a general framework and movements on theory of landscape architecture,
2. To examine and discuss discourses and manifestos on landscape architecture,
3. To examine landscape architecture with related disciplines and interactions among them in 20’th and 21’st century.
4. To develop critical thinking, interpreting, writing and presentation skills.

Course Description

Theoretical framework of landscape architecture, general concepts and definitions; landscape design theories, discourses and manifestos starting from the 20th century to nowadays; theoretical thresholds in 20th and 21st century and landscape architecture.
