Course Objectives		to describe the bridge norms and standards, assumed design loads and structural members with thiefunctions for steel railway and highway bridges, design assignments and their structural functions given with examples
Course Description		In this course design loads,for railway bridges, design of rails, sleepers, transverse, longitudinal and main beams, bracings for braking, impact and wind loads, resistance, fatigue and global stability analysis, design of fix and rolled supports, design loads for highwat bridges, deck types and materials, orthotrophic decks with stiffeners, expansion bearings, cable and cable-stayed bridges
