Course Objectives With this course, it is aimed to deliver management and organization concepts and to discuss major approaches through the analysis of cases by the participants who are particularly coming from construction industry and architecture and, who will have vision for their company and achieve the goals in the most effective and efficient manner through the intensive competition in today’s business world.

Course Description An overview of foundations and historical perspective of management and organization, management environment and situation analysis, management functions – planning and strategic management perspective; organizing and overview of organizational behavior, human resources management; leadership, motivation, communication and teamwork; and, controlling issues. Cases from construction industry and architecture – examining, evaluation, analysis and reporting.
Course Outcomes With this course, it is aimed to deliver management and organization concepts and to discuss major approaches through the analysis of cases by the participants who are particularly coming from construction industry Graduate students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills & proficiencies
I. Knowledge & skills to understand and manage modern management & organization process,
II. Knowledge about foundations of management process,
III. Knowledge and skills to analyze environment/situation,
IV. Knowledge about management functions (planning and strategic management, organizing, leading, and controlling),
V. Knowledge about ethical issues, individual and organizational values, management approach for social responsibility.
