Course Objectives		- Statement of the principles of thermal design. - Explanation of the exergy as a tool in thermal design. - Review of the exergy analysis of engineering processes. - Explanation of thermoeconomic optimization through case studies.
Course Description		Design of thermal systems.Energy and work. Reversibility. Physical and chemical exergy. Availability equation for closed and open systems. Exergy analysis of engineering processes and cycles. Economic evaluation methods. Cost of fuel and equipment. Cost balance equation and costing of heat and work. Thermoeconomic optimization.
