Course Objectives 1. Definition of science and learning scientific research methods

2. Learning scientific methodology, research design and data collection methods

3. Learning the types of scientific publications (thesis, article, report, etc.)

4. Learning the ethical principles to be followed in scientific research and publication

5. Evaluating successful presentation techniques, transferring current developments and own studies in the field to groups in and out of the field in a systematic manner in written, oral and visual forms by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data
Course Description Definition and development of science, scientific research approach, literature analysis, research design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection, thesis, project, and scientific article writing techniques, ethical principles to be followed when conducting research, ethical principles to be followed while publishing, ethical reference principles, points to be considered in order to make a successful presentation, presentations to be made within the scope of thesis topic / own engineering field

4. Learning what types of scientific publications are and their basic features

5. To understand and internalize the ethical rules that should be followed in scientific work

7. Having learned to speak to the audience verbally / vocal / visually while presenting

8.Speaking the importance of communication during presentation, having the ability to speak comfortably in front of the public
