Course Objectives		Graduates that will work at maritime companies; 1.Will learn about relation between maritime commercial management and insurance 2.Will learn marine insurance concept 3.Will gain knowledge and skill to get marine insurance
Course Description		Principles of the law and the Marine Insurance Act, Insurance Policy, Contracts of Insurance Hull and Machinery Insurance, General Clauses/Conditions of Turkish Hull Policy, Institute Hull Clauses, Coverage, Functions and Role of P&I Clubs, Reinsurance, Nature and Purpose of Reinsurance, Relationship between assured/reassured/ reinsurer, Damage and casualty reporting Notice of loss to insurers, Surveys, Damage to Cargo and Loss of Cargo, Collision, Salvage Repair, Wreck removal, Fire, Personal Injury, Death and Injury, General Average, The role of average adjusters, Insurance in Sea Pollution.
