Course Objectives

Application of economic principles to transportation
Assessment of transport investments: cost benefit analysis and public private partnership
Practical issues and policy developments
Surveying and basic modeling approaches
Recent research reports and papers on applied transport economics

Course Description

Transportation is a derived demand and it is one of the key elements in economics.Transportation investments are large scale and expensive investments with various social and environmental impacts. In this lecture, transportation economics will be explained by referring to basic principles of economics and through explaining its role in policy decisions.
