Course Objectives
It is the design of the elevator facilities, escalators and other vertical transports used and the mechanisms and elements related to them in order to ensure the transportation of human traffic in closed spaces and to ensure that the loads are transported in vertical direction.
Course Description
Analysis of the demand for vertical transport systems. Human traffic mobility and traffic analysis in indoor spaces. Mechanical elevator design principles and structures of components. Hydraulic elevator constructions. Constructions of escalators and bands. APM systems.
Course Outcomes
1. Make elevator traffic analysis
2. Selection of suitable vertical transport systems
3. Design of vertical transfer systems
4. Construction of vertical transport systems mechanisms and elements
