Course Objectives Structure-temperature relations for usage of polymers as a material.
Time-dependent mechanical behavior of polymers and their models.
Stress-strain relations of di??erent polymers, measuring methods of mechanical behavior, and the
relation between structure and temperature-based mechanical behavior.
The type of basic additives used in polymeric materials, their field of usage, and their e??ects on
mechanical behavior
The di??erences between the traditional polyblends, composites and nanocomposites, their
preparation methods and properties
Course Description Knowledge transfer about time dependent behavior of polymers, stress-strain relations and composite polymers.
Course Outcomes 1. The structure of polymeric materials, materials selection based on field of usage.
2. Behavior of polymeric materials under temperature applications.
3. Mechanical models, selection of mechanical model appropriate to the mechanical behavior.
4. Experimental measuring methods with respect to the type of mechanical behavior.
5. The type of additives necessary for the properties of final product for special applications.
6.The type of polyblends/composites to change mechanical properties of polymers.
