CKY 515 - Acoustical Problems with Respect to Building Typology

Course Objectives

- Analyzing the necessary parameters to ensure homogeneous propagation of sound in closed spaces

-Examination of factors affecting speech intelligibility

- Ensuring the harmonious perception of music in music halls

-Ensuring that the halls (conference, theatre, concert, opera, multi-purpose hall, cinema) are designed correctly by considering the acoustic criteria during the architectural project phase

- To learn the acoustic design of conference, theatre, concert, opera, cinema, multi-purpose halls

Course Description

In order to provide auditory comfort conditions, the design parameters are explained within the scope of the course. Acoustic design criteria are detailed according to different functions and building typologies.
