Course Objectives 1. Definition of science and learning scientific research methods
2. Learning scientific methodology, research design and data collection methods
3. Learning about the types of scientific publications (theses, articles, papers, reports, etc.)
4. Learning the ethical principles to be followed in scientific research and publication
5. Evaluation of successful presentation techniques, being able to systematically transfer current developments in the field and their own studies to groups in and outside the field, in written, oral and visual formats, by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data.
Course Description Definition and development of science, scientific research approach, literature analysis, research design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection, thesis, project, and scientific article/paper writing techniques, ethical principles to be followed while conducting research, ethical principles to be followed while publishing, ethical principles in reference, points to be considered in order to make a successful presentation, presentations to be made within the scope of the thesis topic / focused engineering field.

2. To be able to understand and apply scientific research methods
3. To be able to search and analyze the literature
4. To have learned what types of scientific publications are and their basic features
5. To understand and internalize the ethical rules to be followed in scientific work
6. Having the ability to prepare presentations on technical or non-technical subjects
7. Having learned to address the audience verbally/vocally/visually while making a presentation
8. To understand the importance of communication during the presentation, to have the ability to speak comfortably in front of the public
