Course Objectives 1.To understand the atomic scattering from potentials
2.To gain knowledge about atom-electron collisions
3. To gain knowledge about atom-atom collisions
4.To provide the students with some applications of atomic physics
Course Description Basic notions, atomic collisions, scattering from potential, Born approximation, absorption events, electron-atom collision, ionization, resonance, atom-atom collisions, electronic excitation and charge exchange, some applications of atomic physics (magnetic resonance, measurement of jiromagnetic ratio, controlled thermonuclear join, astrophysics).
