Course Objectives

Integrated Watershed Management is explained in a general perspective. Land and water resources of the watershed, human induced activities, factors that might threat the watershed as a result of land-use activities are aimed to be given. Besides, information is given on the management strategies, pollutant reduction and decision making mechanisms.

Course Description

Within the context of the course, general watershed management principles, polluting sources, changes in land-use distribution, scenarion analysis, modelling, querries, mapping are referred.
