MDK 506E - Intelligent Systems & Soft Computing

Course Objectives

To provide engineering students:
1. A basic knowledge of intelligent systems,
2. Knowledge on the design and application of artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic and
neuro-fuzzy systems,
3. Experience based on examples from literature and computer usage

Course Description

Introduction to intelligent systems and soft computing. Basics of optimization and modeling. Introduction to artificial neural networks, back propagation learning rule, fuzzy set theory, fuzzy inference methods, fuzzy control, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inferencing system (ANFIS), genetic algorithms.
