Introducing traditional materials and their properties, providing information about conservation and restoration practices.

Course Description

Properties of traditional building materials that is used in historical buildings and monuments. Weathering and durability situations, wood, bricks, natural and artificial building stones, plaster and mortars, adobe, Khorosan Mortar, gypsum plaster, glas and various metals and their properties weathering and durability tests, selection and application conditions among these materials as well as use and limits of the contemporary building materials.
