Course Objectives
To provide the engineering students with:
1. In depth knowledge of fuzzy systems.
2. Knowledge on the design and application of fuzzy logic
3. Experience based on examples and computer usage
Course Description
Introduction to Fuzzy Logic. Properties of fuzzy sets, operations on fuzzy sets, Fuzzy relations, Linguistic variables, Fuzzy implications and inference. Fuzzification and defuzzification. Structure of fuzzy logic controllers. Design and tuning parameters. Use of fuzzy logic in consumer products and control of industrial systems
Course Outcomes
1- Possess knowledge on fuzzy logic systems.
2- Possess knowledge on design and application of fuzzy logic systems.
3- Understand the industrial applications and academic research in the area of fuzzy logic systems.
4- Design and fine tune fuzzy systems using computer simulations

Undergraduate level System Dynamics and Control or Automatic Control Course
