Course Objectives
This course is designed to familiarize the Biomedical Engineering graduate student with
1. the functions of physiological systems comprising the human organism,
2. the interactions between those systems as a result of internal and external stimuli,
3. the functions of the human body as a whole system
Course Description
Organization of the human body and control of its internal environment; the Physiology of the Cell and the Membrane, Hematology, Respiratory Physiology, Gastrointestinal System, Muscle, Cardiovascular System, Urinary System, Immune System, Endocrine System, Peripheral and the Central Nervous system
