Course Objectives		The purpose of this course is to teach students; 1. Textile printing processes and technologies 2. According to defined printing process, effect of fixing, washing and after-treatments processes on the obtained printing quality 3. Technologic applicability of printing designs considering current machinery.
Course Description		Textile Printing Processes, Direct Printing, Discharge Printing, Resist Printing and Transfer Printing. Printing Paste Preparation, Paste Application, Fixation Methods and After-treatments. Printing Technology and Printing Machines. Flat Screen Printing, Rotary-Screen Printing, Roller Printing, Inkjet Printing, Flock Printing, and Carousel Printing. Environmental Issues.
Course Outcomes		At the end of the course, the students will have: i. Knowledge about textile printing processes, printing paste preparation, fixing, and after-treatment processes. ii. Knowledge about printing technology and machinery in detail. iii. Knowledge about new technological developments and their applications. iv. The ability to choose printing systems which is suitable for their printing design and to compare the printing quality against the other printing systems.
