Course Objectives
This course aims to;
1. To train managers and engineers who integrate technology of management and
technological innovation to business strategy.
2. To provide the students necessary conceptual and analytic tools for technology and innocation management in efforts to gain and sustain competitive advantage.
Course Description
This course provides an integrated and startejic approach to tecnology management. It is comprised of technology concepts, the nature and economics of technological change, corporate technology strategy, technology assessment, technology transfer and adaptation, technology forecasting / foresight, R&D policy, project management for new technology, technology as an instrument of competition-technology and government
Course Outcomes
Graduate students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skills and competency such as:
1. To understand fundamental and strategic concepts in technology management
2. To evalaute, understand and manage technology strategically
3. To make effective decision on technology management by using quantitative decision making tools
4. To analyse the interaction of technology with social, global, and time dimensions.
