Course Objectives
Lisans eğitiminde verilen Mukavemet derslerinde öğrenciler tek boyutlu yapı elemanları olan çubuklar ve çubuklardan oluşan yapı sistemlerinin davranışları konusunda donatılmaktadırlar. İki boyutlu taşıyıcı sistemlerden plakların ve plak sistemlerin düzlemleri içinde ve düzlemlerine dik yükler altındaki davranışları incelenmektedir. Öğrencilerin plak sistemlerin düşey yüklere göre çözümlenmesini sayısal ve yaklaşık hesap yöntemlerini kullanarak gerçekleştirebilecek düzeye gelmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Course Description
Thin Elastic Plate Theory (Kirchhoff’ s Theory), Basic assumptions, Stress resultants-displacement relations, Plate Equation, Boundary Conditions, Strain Energy, Rectangular Plates, Navier and Levy Solutions, Circular Plates, Energy Methods, Ritz and Galerkin Approximations, Plates of Various Shapes, Bending of Anisotropic Plates, Plates on Elastic Foundation, Numerical Methods, Finite Differences, Finite Elements and Boundary Elements Method, The Effect of Transverse Shear Deformation on the Bending of Elastic Plates (Reissner’ s Theory), Large Deflections of Plates (Karman’ s Theory), Vibrations of Plates, Stability of Plates.
