ISL 505 - Production Systems Analysis

Course Objectives

Course aims to,
1. aid the engineers from different fields to acquire necessary concepts and methods in the scope of operations management,
2. help them gather the skills and competence to evaluate and solve the problems they will encounter in manufacturing and service sectors.

Course Description

This course is designed to give students a comprehensive knowledge about production systems, forecasting, basic production dynamics, variability in production systems and corrupting influence of variability. Accordingly, after a general introduction of impact of variability on process performance, hierarchical planning, inventory managing and production scheduling are shown.
