Course Objectives

Learning dynamical equations of mathematical modeling.
Teaching ordinary differential equations in earth sciences.
Analytical and numerical solutions of the differential equations.

Course Description

First and second order differential equations, differential equations of mathematical physics, solutions of heat, wave equations by means of Fourier series, analytical and numerical solutions of the heat and wave equations,
mass-spring-dashpot systems, line-curve-surface fitting techniques.
