PST 618E - Polymer Blends and Composites

Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to give knowledge about the following: 1. To teach for using as a material designing, production and characterization of polymeric composites and polymer blends 2. To teach the differences between the conventional composites and nanocomposites, their preparation methods and properties. 3. To acquaint the students with innovations by investigating the current scientific work.

Course Description

Types of main matrixes and reinforcing agents which are used in the production of polymer composites and the production methods of polymeric composites with the properties and the application areas; beside the properties and the production methods of polymer blends and alloys; synthesis and characterization of nanocomposites and special composites will be mentioned.
