Course Description		Definition, importance and scope of energy efficiency in wastewater treatment plants, Scientific and technological fundamentals need to be applied to achieve energy efficiency, Differences between conventional wastewater treatment processes and energy efficient treatment processes, Basic design and operational principles for energy efficient treatment processes, Methods for increasing the performance and energy efficiency of existing wastewater treatment processes, World wide application examples of energy efficient wastewater treatment plants.
