Course Objectives
The objectives of the course
i) to teach the art and practice of climate models with varied complexity: the progression from simple to complex models, and model evaluation.
ii) to develop intuition for the relative importance of different factors and the scale of natural phenomena.
Course Description
Descriptions of climate models, descriptions of model structures (grid spacing numerical schemes, etc.) and parameterizations, and examples of applying models of various types to climate problems. Techniques to evaluate the climate model outputs.
