Course Objectives 1) Provide the advanced analytical methods to graduate students that will help them in their scientific research
2) To enhance the background about linear algebra
3) Introduce the solution techniques of linear ordinary differential equations
4) Explain the concept of Fourier analysis
5) Introduce partial differential equations and some solution techniques
Course Description Linear Algebra: Matrices, Vectors, Determinants, Linear Systems, Matrix Eigenvalue Problems
Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs): First-Order ODEs, Second-Order Linear ODEs, Higher-Order Linear ODEs, Series Solutions of ODEs. Special functions. Laplace Transforms
Fourier analysis: Series, Integrals, and Transforms
Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)
Course Outcomes 1) Ability to solve linear system problems and eigenvalue problems
2) Ability to solve linear ODE problems
3) Ability to apply Fourier analysis
4) Being familiar with most widely used PDEs and their solutions
