Course Objectives
Introduction to nanomaterials, Materials used in nanomaterial production (metal and carbon nanomaterials, nanocomposites, ceramic nanostructures), Preparation and Properties of Nanoscale materials (nanoparticles, nanowires, nanotubes, nanostructures), Chemistry at nanoscale materials (Atomic structures etc), Optical Properties of Nanoparticles, Nanomechanics, Nanoscale thermal transport and nanofluidics, Electrical transport at nanoscale, Magnetic properties of nanomaterials, Nanoscale biology and medical science, Immunological properties and cytotoxicity of nanomaterials, Organisation of matter on surfaces at the nanometer scale, Nanoscale films, Property-Performance Relationship for Nanostructured materials and applications.
