Course Objectives
1. Teach main concept of heat transfer, heat transfer ways.
2. Teach heat transfer with convection.
3. Teach heat transfer with radiation.
4. Teach to form mathematical model of thermal systems
Course Description
Types of heat transfer. Steady and transient heat conduction, solution methods. Laminar and
turbulent forced convection, natural convection. Phase change. Heat exchangers. Heat transfer
applications
Course Outcomes
Students who pass the course will be able to;
I. Learn to determine heat transfer.
II. Learn to apply mass, momentum and energy conservation equations in heat transfer.
III. Solve heat transfer problems.
IV. Learn surface radiation and radiation specifications
