MMD 211E - Accounting & Financial Stat. Analysis

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to review the concepts and issues of financial accounting such as general accounting principles, accounting cycle, and examinations of current assets, current liabilities, inventory methods and policies, and preparation of financial tables (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Owner’s Equity, and Cash Flows). Students are expected to gain an accounting tool to apply in the solutions of managerial problems.

Course Description

Bu ders, işletmenin temel mali tablolarının incelenmesini, finansal analiz ve finansal analiz tekniklerinin öğretilmesini, öğrencilerin finansal tablolardaki neden sonuç ilişkisini kurabilmesini amaçlar. Bu ders ile işletme içi ve dışı bilgi kullanıcıları için işletme ile ilgili kararlarına dayanak oluşturacak bilgilerin analiz teknikleriyle üretilmesi ve yorumlanarak kullanılması ile finansal tablolarda yer alan kalemler arasındaki temel ilişkileri anlama, analiz etme ve yorumlama yeteneğinin kazandırılması hedeflenmektedir.This course aims to examine the basic financial statements of the business, to teach financial analysis and financial analysis techniques, and to enable students to establish cause and effect relationships in financial statements. This course aims to provide the ability to understand, analyze and interpret the basic relationships between the items in the financial statements by producing and interpreting information that will form the basis of decisions regarding the business for internal and external information users of the business using analysis techniques.
