Course Objectives

The aim of this course;
1. To teach cost estimation, cost planning and control skills in interior architectural design
problems,
2. To teach cost control approaches in the production stage.

The importance of cost estimation, cost planning and cost control in the interior architecture profession;
Cost concepts; Factors affecting cost; Methods of cost estimating; Classifying construction cost
information / Sources of building cost data; Cost planning at the pre-design stage; Economic evaluation
of building investments, Cost planning and control at the design stage, Cost planning and control at
production and operation.
