Course Objectives

1. To teach the fundamental concepts and principles of chemistry.
2. To provide theoretical and practical knowledge in an integrated manner.
3. To develop students’ problem-solving skills.
4. To explain the importance of chemistry in our daily lives.
5. To encourage students to think logically and positively and to help them understand the laws of nature within this framework.

Course Description

Chemistry and stoichiometry, atoms and atomic theories, the periodic table and selected atomic properties, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, gases and gas laws, liquids, solids, solutions and their physical properties, thermochemistry, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics.
