Title: Thermal Management in Renewable Energy System Components

The objectives of the course is the introduction and investigation of
- Heat accumulation problem in small volumes,
- Common renewable energy components with localized heating: Electric vehicle (EV) batteries, photovoltaic (PV) systems, ...
- Single-phase cooling technologies,
- Two-phase cooling techologies,
- Hybrid cooling methods,
- State-of-the art thermal management technologies.

This advanced topics course is titled: Thermal Management in Renewable Energy System Components
Through 14 week lecture structure, the following course content is followed:
Description of localized heat dissipation in renewable energy system components; Classification of heat removal strategies based on geometry (area-to-volume ratio), heat transter fluid (HTF), single vs. two-phase cooling; State-of-the art in thermal management solutions: Advantages and challenges.
