Dersin Amaçları 1. Kuramsal ve kavramsal düşünce yeteneğini geliştirmek.
2. Etkin bir şekilde iletişim kurma ve tartışma yeteneğini geliştirmek.
3. Metin okuma, anlama, araştırma yapma ve yazı yazma becerisini geliştirmek.
4. Siyaset felsfesi alanını tanıma siyasal toplumla ilişkisi üzerine eleştirel düşünme.
Dersin Tanımı Bu ders Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas Hobbes, Locke, Hegel, Kant, Rousseau, Marks ve Nietzsche gibi filozofların siyaset düşüncesinin temelini teşkil eden adalet, özgürlük, yurttaşlık, meşruiyet, eşitlik ve haklar gibi kavramlar etrafında ideal ortak yaşamın betimlemeğe yönelik felsefik yansımalarının tartışılmasına ilişkindir.
Dersin Çıktıları Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler:
I. Siyaset Felsefesi alanındaki temel yaklaşımlar kavramayı ve bu yaklaşımları gerçek hayattaki olaylara uygulamayı,
II. Siyaset felsefesinin genel bakış tarzından yaralanarak, eleştirel düşünmeyi ve siyaset sorunsallarını çözümlemeyi,
III. Siyasal sorunsalların çözümünde eleştirel düşünme becerilerini bağlı olarak mantıksal akıl yürütmeyi,
IV. İletişim becerilerini geliştirmeyi ve karşılarındaki diğer insanlara karşı açık düşünceli ve saygılı tutum takınmayı öğrenirler.
