Dersin Amaçları 19. yüzyıldan 20. yüzyıla Sanayi Devrimleri olarak bilinen farklı süreçlerde, karşılaştırmalı olarak, dünyada ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda başlıca bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmelerinin öğrenilmesi.
Dersin Tanımı Derste Sanayi Devrimlerinin kavramsal tartışmaları, gerçekleştikleri var sayılan dönem ve bölgelerdeki iktisadi ve sosyal süreçlerin yanı sıra söz konusu dönemlerdeki bilimsel ve teknolojik yenilikleri üzerinde durulacaktır.
Dersin Çıktıları - 19. yüzyıldan 20. yüzyıla dünya ve Osmanlı tarihin başlıca iktisadi, toplumsal, bilimsel ve teknolojik süreçlerinin öğrenilmesi.
- Eleştirel bakış açılarının geliştirilmesi.
- Yabancı ve Osmanlı arşiv belgelerinin yanı sıra ikincil kaynaklarının en etkin bir şekilde kullanımının öğrenilmesi.
- İstanbul'daki müzelerde saha araştırmalarının yapılması.
