Dersin Amaçları

On successful completion of the course, students will:
1. show an awareness of the historical background, cultural and intellectual settings, and reception, of the studied interpretative strategies and frameworks
2. be able to describe, evaluate and/or challenge current scholarly thinking
3. have a good up-to-date working knowledge of the main English-language secondary sources on the chosen area
4. be able to research and present essays in a standard musicological format.
5. demonstrate familiarity with the standard bibliographical tools and resources used in the study of music history
6. be able to situate material within appropriate academic (including interdisciplinary) contexts
