Dersin Amaçları

The course aims
I. To provide knowledge on Green Economy, Sustainable Development and Green Deal concepts and their determinants,
II. To give the ability of critically evaluating the economic, social and ecological foundations of factors that are forcing the business world to a green transformation,
III. To give the ability of conducting analysis on the sectoral effects of the European Green Deal on the Turkish economy and designing possible transformation scenarios.

Dersin Tanımı

This course covers the economic concepts and analysis methods of green transformation of the businessmaking dictated by the climate change under three sections; the first part covers the fundamentals of green economics, the second part covers the EU Green Deal and its determinants in a historical context, the third part focuses on the potential effects of the EU Green Deal on the Turkish economy and explores the sectoral transformation paths under the current and prospective legislations.
