Course Objectives
This course aims,
1. to study the history of fashion,
2. to explicate the process of fashion design and possibilities of innovation,
3. to foster creativity in fashion design by culture and market oriented research,
4. to experience design process via computer media.
Course Description
The language of fashion, cities of fashion, design elements and principles, theoretical study of
the product development process from design to manufacturing, from manufacturing to
packaging till the distribution of the product to the consumer.
Course Outcomes
Students who pass the course will be able to:
I. study the main concepts and trends in fashion,
II. realize the visual and aesthetic values by means of design and art,
III. learn the cities of fashion,
IV. gather cultural and historical knowledge
V. develop the skills of transmitting creative idea into a variety of technics for practice.
VI. design in a computer based medium.
