Course Objectives
This course aims,
1. to distinguish the difference between the acts of “seeing” and “looking”.
2. to develop interpretation skills by analysis and synthesis.
3. to perceive the nature, objects and art objects with awareness.
4. to see and to seize the beautiful and aesthetic aspects in life.

Course Description
Teaching fundamental visualization techniques and concepts for improving the analysis and synthesis skills of students as the difference between “seeing” and “looking” is priorly emphasized.
Course Outcomes
Students who pass the course will be able to;
I. acquire the ability to approach to artistic products, the nature and beauty of life consciously,
II. reveal artistic point of view, know-how and personality on objects of art.
III. develop the skills for perceiving, designing, drawing, colouring and composing what is seen in a right way.
IV. gain general knowledge about the history of painting in Turkey and in the world.
V. visiting important exhibitions in museums and art galleries of Istanbul where they engage with artworks.
