Course Objectives First of all, the creation of a medium where the student can express herself with the phenomenon of ceramics by triggering her creative power.
Course Description Introducing the ceramic making techniques required to transform ceramic raw materials into an art or design product with the contribution of technology, craft and art. (My amateur videos will be used during the pandemic period.)
Course Outcomes 1. To have an idea about national and international ceramic history and culture. 2. To meet with ceramic technology and its raw materials. 3. To perceive the formation process of a design or pure art product. 4. The student's perspective towards art may change due to the fact that he / she will realize the tendency to art which he / she does not even know.
Pre-requisite(s) There are no prerequisites except that the student has chosen this course (Ceramics)!
Required Facilities 1. Workshop environment, 2. Ceramic raw materials 3. A ceramic furnace for firing ceramics! Despite the lack of this environment due to the pandemic, the students will be introduced to the applications with the videos I have prepared in an amateurish way.
Other A suggestion that students visit the art gallery or museum that we visited at least once before the pandemic. At the beginning of the semester, students will make a 10-minute free presentation on a topic they want, and a presentation about a ceramic artist of their choice at the end of the semester. They should be able to justify why they chose that artist here.

Other References Due to the pandemic, students are given more information in the context of ceramic history and culture. For this, I ask the students in writing to ask me a question for every subject I tell. Thanks to these questions posed to me, I will have learned about whether what I have told is perceived! On the other hand, I give them about 14 questions in writing at the beginning of the semester. I ask them to answer them during the semester. At the end of the semester, I correct your mistakes. I will not request the course report I requested before, this time because we could not apply face to face!
