Course Objectives		We aim at learning and understanding the impact of Westernization of the Ottoman Empire on Istanbul's physical outlook, demographic structure and administration.
Course Description		In order to attain course objectives we first look at the physical outlook, demographic structure and administration of Roman-Byzantine Istanbul and Ottoman Istanbul before the westernization process of the Ottoman Empire. Then we search the westernization process of the Ottoman Empire.
