Course Objectives
1. To illustrate the relationship between environment and human societies,
2. To identify the relationship between social organization and environment,
3. To juxtapose environmental problems with a cultural background.
Course Description
Dynamic and complex structure of human-environment relationships, societies of different cultural structure and environmental conditions, direct or indirect influences of these relationships on cultures.
Course Outcomes
M.Sc. students who take this course gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in the following subjects
1. The history of human-environment relationships,
2. Understanding the common thepretical perspectives in environmental and behavioral sciences,
3. The impacts of human societies on environment,
4. The impact of environmental conditions on the social organization,
5. Local environmental and cultural knowledge,
6. Adaptation processes.
