Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences aims to investigate the various layers of the Earth and their relations with each other, and trains graduate students from different disciplines on this subject. There are 3 Departments in the Institute. Of these, the Department of Solid Earth Sciences deals with the crust and interior of the Earth. The aim of these studies is to learn the mechanisms that govern the interior of the Earth and to use this knowledge in the acquisition of underground resources and in avoiding natural disasters (especially earthquakes). In our institute, the most advanced researches in our country on earthquakes are carried out with national and international partnerships. The Department of Climate and Marine Sciences is a branch that studies atmosphere, sea and lake dynamics and the relationships between them. In this department, international scientific research and postgraduate theses are carried out on extremely important issues for human life such as modeling of the oceans and seas, climate changes, global warming, management of water resources, meteorological natural disasters. The Department of Ecology and Evolution aims to learn and teach the old and new living conditions on Earth and the evolution of living things in geological time. |
