The computer engineering education at the Istanbul Technical University has started as a division of the "Control and Computer Engineering Department" which was formed as a part of the Electrical and Electronics Faculty in 1980. The division was re-organized as a department of the same faculty in 1997, in order to meet the requirements of modern computer engineering education. In 2010, related programs and departments are transferred after the Computer & Informatics Faculty founded. Departments- Computer Engineering
